LJ is a 1 year old lab/springer spaniel mix whose owner didn't have the time to appropriately care for him. Unfortunately, LJ spent his days and nights tied up outside with no shelter. A caring neighbor, who started to give LJ some attention and take him for walks, contacted us for help in rehoming this dog.

LG is shy but friendly. Being still a pup he needs to learn some manners. His foster home says he is very very sweet, loves to be with people and is just fine with our other dogs. He wants to play and fit into the pack.

Please read his foster home feedback for more info.

September 22 - LJ is a sweet pup, he is very smart and wants to please people. He is completely house and crate trained--he knows the command "kennel up". He is also doing fine in his crate during the days while we are at work. He gets along very well with all the neighborhood kids, dogs and families. He has learned very much since he has been with us, and our two dogs are helping teach him better manners. LJ is extremely motivated to retrieve, loves playing stick and ball, and he gets a bit excited, impatient and barky when playing ball. We bring a bunch of tennis balls to the park and throw several at once and this keeps him happily running! He is very good natured, happy, cheerful, and will be very devoted to his companion.
