Bill is a sweet dog who is looking for his forever family. He was found abandoned in front of a store. A nice couple took him in and got him cleaned up and now he is ready for his forever home. He gets along with dogs and children. He is a little shy at first, but warms up once he knows you mean him no harm.

This little fellow is hoping to find a family that will love and appreciate him. Please consider adopting Bill.

October 24 - Bill is a very well-behaved and loving dog. He's a moderately active dog in that he definitely enjoys a daily walk, but he won't tear apart the house if it doesn't happen. In fact, I've never seen evidence of any destructive behaviors on his part. He's socialized quite well with people. He deals equally well with adults, children, individuals, groups, men, women, no problems. He's not the biggest fan of my toddler, but he tolerates her beautifully and has never expressed any aggressive behaviors. He seems to really like other dogs as well.

He loves having his sides, belly, and chest scratched. He doesn't seem to be terribly playful--maybe he's too old for such antics. He doesn't play with toys or get rowdy outside. Pretty calm, overall; he hardly even barks, and when he does it's only two or three times. He is pretty timid, though, in that you can't sneak up on him or touch him without him seeing you first. Once he feels secure in his surroundings and trusts you, though, it's not as noticeable.

A volunteer recently took Bill in for a bath at Shaggy's and was amazed at how well he did. He was scared, but was very tolerant. He stood still in the bath tub and just waited patiently. He did great with his nail clipping as well, no stuggling, no nipping. He was really good considering that he can be on the shy side and that the Shaggy experience was new for him.
