January 9th - Nova is a great girl, very obedient (she's been through basic obedience class), and loving. She likes to be close to her people, and would do best in a home with more than one person to give her attention. She likes kids, and does really well playing with both big and little dogs. She just needs a little reminder every once in a while to be "gentle" with the smaller dogs when she gets worked up. I have not had her around cats.

She does have some anxiety when other dogs are getting attention and she is not, or if she doesn't get enough exercise. She hasn't been aggressive, just anxious. Nova also has some issues with separation anxiety, and gets pretty upset in her kennel when I'm leaving the house, but I think that stems from my long work hours and odd schedule--I work at night/sleep during the day, and Nova hasn't been able to adjust to that.

Nova loves to play fetch and go for car rides, and walks very well on a leash.

I think Nova would do best in a home with an active family to give her lots of attention, with a regular schedule, so she won't have to be alone so much. I think she would really love a big-dog brother or sister, or some kids to run and play with
