Hope had a litter of puppies that were taken in by another rescue along with the Dad. But poor Hope was left behind, we suspect because she is a pitbull. Imagine watching your whole family being taken away and you are left alone tied to a car with a dirty mud puddle the only available water to drink.
A kind person asked us to help... how could we refuse!
Hope is a really great dog who would do well in almost any home. All she wants to do is love and please people. She is friendly towards other dogs and people, she also proved herself to be very nice towards young children. She is completely house trained.

October 21 - Hope is a really great dog who would
do well in almost any home. All she wants to do is love and please people.
When she first came to me she was very needy and seemed to have no interest
in anything other than just following me around. She didnt have an interest
in my dog, in playing, or being outside. It took a long time for her to
learn how to just be a dog. Hope now knows how to play with another dog
and with toys. She is very comical when she plays. She pounces and throws
her toys around. Hope is in her kennel all day when I'm at work and she
does very well in there. She NEVER barks. She is completely house trained
and has never had an accident in the house. She does not like to be alone
outside. She will just sit at the door (shaking) until you bring her in.
She is mainly very calm indoors, but has spurts of energy now and again.
She bonds very closely with one person and wants 100% of the attention.
She will never let that one person out of her sight. She will wake up
from a deep sleep just to follow her person to the next room. She is not
destructive. She will just sit and do nothing for hours. Hope does not
like to disappoint people, and gets very scared and cowers if voices are
raised (she thinks she's in trouble). She is VERY interested in small
animals and cats. She is not safe to have around small animals, and should
be watched around cats. Shes never been aggressive towards my cats though.
She has done well with my dog. Hope is one of the best, and easiest dogs
to have around.
July 20th Volunteer Feedback - I had the pleasure of taking this wonderful girl to the dog park today and gosh what a lady she is!! She met a young girl who came running up to her and Hope licked the girl in the face and absolutely loved the attention. Hope met a couple of other dogs at the park and she was wonderful! She listens well and did great in the car. I gave her a couple treats and she was so gentle at taking them out of my hand. This beautiful dog is waiting patiently for a family to call her own. Please consider fostering or adopting this gentle dog…. I promise, she won’t disappoint you!
