December 21st - Joe has been a very well-behaved guest. He hasn't been with us for more then a couple of days but he's been sweet and has good house manners. We haven't had any accidents other then a first marking attempt; since then we haven't let him have free range movement in the house since he is not yet neutered. Stay tuned for more details after he has his surgery later this week (Dec. 23).

Joe is very sweet and even tempered and doesn't rise to the occasional snipes of his new foster sister and brothers (terriers, of course!). He does have some vision impairment, however it doesn't appear to slow him down as he has explored in great detail our secure, privacy-fenced yard and the places in the house that he has been allowed to go. He settles right down in his kennel at night or the doggy bed during the daytime when we are home. Besides the excited, "Welcome Home" bark, he doesn't seem to be much of a barker either. We have been on a couple of walks so far and his leash manners are good. He enjoys getting out and exploring and keeps right up with the rest of the pack.
