October 8th - Joey is such a cutie! He loves to sleep, sit on the back of the couch and look out the window. Joey also loves to go for walks to smell all the trees and enjoy the weather.

Usually Jo stays in his kennel during the day and sleeps the day away. He goes in willingly knowing that a treat will follow. When I arrive home he is excited and likes to pet for a bit before heading outside to go potty and for a walk. After being kenneled all day he is usually full of energy and needs a walk or at least to play fetch outside in the yard for a bit. After the walk or play time he likes to sit very near me on the couch and usually follows me around the house for the night.

He has learned a few new tricks and words. He knows the words - sit, down, walk, and treat. He also knows the word LOOK and then runs up to the window to see what is going on outside. Joey also knows how to fetch, the knows the word monkey and always knows where to find it. Jo knows to sit for a treat but know how to dance for a treat as well.

Joey is completely potty trained and still sits by the door to go outside. If he really needs to go he will whine a bit - but usually he is content on sitting there until you see him.

Joey is working on how to properly meet new people. He is learning how to be nice and that he doesn't have to protect his owner from other people. He has come a long way in this area but will still need continued work.

Jojo is a cute pup who loves to play and loves to sleep. He is a joy to be around and would love to find his forever home!

July 28thJoey is a joy of a dog to have around. He is now getting comfortable and loves to fetch his toys - although he tires after about 10 minutes. Joey is completely potty trained and brings me his leash when he needs to go outside to potty or stands at the door and whines. He loves to go for walks! On walks Joey does his potty businnes right away and then loves to just smell and enjoy the rest of the walk. He does not mark many things on the walk either :)

During the day Joey is usually in his kennel and does okay in there. He gets really excited when I get home and wants to play for a bit right away.

Joey is a sleeper. He will sleep most of the day if you let him and he rarely sleeps on the furniture. At night he sleeps on the floor under the bed or sometimes on blanket thats on the floor. He often sleeps on his back with his feet in the air - it is quite cute!

Joey does great with other dogs. He has encountered a few cats and bunnies on our walks and wants to chase them - but has never been up close with either of them.

We are working on commands. He is great at "stay" and is still learning - kennel, sit and down. He is also beginning to realize what - walk, treat, and outside mean.

Joey will make a great pet in his forever home!
