August 21 - Ragnar is here and ready for anything! Though we can't call him graceful, he is a big lovable teddy bear. He loves attention and is very playful, ready to fetch, go for a walk, and even has a new found joy of water. Swimming is definately a new skill for Ragnar but when everybody is having fun he can't be left out. He has been introduced to a whole herd of children who patted and scratched him to his content. He could be a very loyal and lovable family dog. We had mixed reviews with animal friends, as Ragnar is a dominant male. He does well with relaxed dogs, both male and female, and also loves to play with younger dogs and even cats who will respect his dominant role and aren't afraid of his size. He already knows many commands that with positive reinforcement and a confident teacher he will perform consistantly. Ragnar is a handsome boy with beautiful eyes and a happy smile who is looking for affection and a family to protect.

August 3 - Ragnar is a beautiful dog that can only be truly admired by meeting him in person. He has gorgeous amber eyes and a nice temperament. He knows the commands sit and down. He doesn't seem to have much experience with cats or horses but did ok with them. He will need more time to be introduced to them. He is crate trained and lets you know if he needs to go out. He never barked at all. He did well with the other dogs that we have. We only had some issues with sharing but as long as those items were not available as a free for all - everyone got along just fine. You can see him in some of the pictures with Spike and Bear. He did well with our children ages 6 and 9. Now that he is neutered, I think that he will mellow out even more.
