Breed: Shepherd Mix
Age: 4 yrs
Size: Large, 55lbs
Adoption Fee: $135.00
Other: Shots current, spayed female

Sasha is a sweet, energetic dog who is looking for her forever family.

Sasha is a smart dog. She knows her name and the sit, down, and come commands. She is treat motivated and willing to please.

Sasha is good with kids but is a bit unpredictable with other dogs. Thus, we are recommending a home with no other pets.

Sasha is very active and would love to be someones walking or running partner. A home with a large back yard for her to run around in would be ideal for her.

She is crate and house trained.

Please consider providing Sasha the loving home she deserves.

One of our volunteers writes a blog on various dog topics. She featured Sasha in a recent entry.

November 16th - Sasha is currently staying at Wag-N-Train Boarding & Training Center. Following is feedback from the staff there.

Sasha is doing really well. She is such a great dog. Sasha LOVES to play ball. She likes it the best when there is more than one ball to play fetch with. This way, she can drop the ball on the way back to you and you already have thrown another ball for her to go get. Due to her older age, she does tire a little more quickly than she would like when playing fetch. Sasha knows how to sit, lie down, is potty trained, and we are working on heel and come. She loves to please and loves attention, so both of these commands are fairly easy to work with her on. Sasha prefers to be with people instead of other dogs, but we are trying to teach her that dogs can be her friend too. Sasha was saved by 4 Luv of Dog Rescue from being euthanized and was adopted out twice. Both times she was returned and it was never her fault; they simply did not have time to care for a dog. Please consider bringing this great dog into your family, she would love to be your friend.

August 13th Volunteer Feedback - I took Sasha to adoption days at PetSmart. She was a very good girl on her best behavior. Sasha made sure to give as many kisses as she could and take advantage of all the belly rubs. She got along fine with all the other dogs, and she loves people of all ages!

Sasha went for a walk with my lab mix and they walked very nicely together, one on each side of me. Both dogs then flopped down on the kitchen floor together and appreciated the air conditioning. I did not have a chance to introduce Sasha to my cats. I put her in the kennel for a few minutes while I ran upstairs and she waited quietly for me to return.

Sasha knows sit and down very well and she heels nicely after she gets over her initial excitement. She has a lot of energy if she does not get a daily walk, but if she is walked she calms down. She sat still in the back seat of my car. I rolled the window down a crack. She stuck her nose to it, and I wondered how long it had been since she'd gotten to experience a simple doggy joy like that.

Sasha is a great dog and needs a foster home or a forever home!

Sasha likes to play fetch with the ball! She is very good at bringing the ball back to you.

Sasha loves to roll the big ball around with her nose and chase after it. This is a very good way for her to get some exercise.

Sasha can be content just laying around.
Sasha knows how to sit.
Sasha knows how to lay down.
