Sandbag for Fargo AND 4 Luv of Dog Rescue!

4 Luv of Dog Rescue is participating in the "Denny's Bucks For Bags" program. The City of Fargo will contribute $75.00 to qualified organizations that provide 100 hours of sandbag-filling effort and an additional $75.00 for each 100 hours provided. Sandbagging continues to March 17th or until one million bags have been made. When you sign up to sandbag tell them your hours should go to 4 Luv of Dog rescue.

Best Friends Studio for Pets will make a $5 donation to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue for every appointment made when mentioning this ad on the 4 Luv of Dog website.

Spring "Candy Bars For Canines" Fundraiser

Area businesses and individuals are asked to help support our work by selling Hershey candy bars. Each box contains 52 assorted candy bars and each bar has a coupon for $1.00 off at any Subway. The Subway coupons are good through December 31, 2010.

We prefer that candy bar sellers prepay (via cash or check) for the candy bars when they pick them up. We can hold your check, if needed, until you have completed your selling. Boxes can be picked up at Natural Pet Center, Waggy Tail Treats or PetSmart during our "Meet The Dogs" events (see "Meet the Dog" event schedule). Area businesses can help by being a "pick up location" like Natural Pet Center and Waggy Tail Treats or by selling.

The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a special challenge for eligible Petfinder.com member shelter and rescue groups. A $10,000 grand prize will be awarded to the organization with the most votes and a $1000 state prize will be awarded to the organization in each state with the most votes. Although the competition is tough for the grand prize we are hopeful that with your help we can win the state prize for North Dakota!

2nd Annual Pet Portrait Contest Is Coming Soon

Our 2nd Annual Pet Portrait Contest is coming soon! Get those pet pictures out, or start taking some new ones.

All submitted pet pictures will be loaded to our website, for all to see! Prizes will be awarded to the top two winners in each category. You'll be able to complete the online submission form and email your pictures to us. Winners will receive their prizes by mail, so this contest isn't limited to people living in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Check back here in a few weeks for the contest specifics. Pet lovers, start those cameras!

Buy or Sell Items on Ebay

Like to shop or have a few items worth selling? Support our organization by buying or selling items on eBay.

Buyers can purchase items that have been listed with a percentage of the purchase price going to our rescue. Sellers can sell items and specify the percentage of the purchase price ($5 minimum) they want to donate. Check out our 'eBay Giving Works' webpage for more info.

Save & Donate Your Aluminum Cans

We now have an account with MinnKota Recycling. Please drop off your aluminum cans at one of their recycling centers and let them know you would like to donate the proceeds to the 4 Luv of Dog Rescue (acct #730-6107). Not only is recycling good for the environment, it can help our dogs too!
