These dogs have until MONDAY, JULY 21 (by about 4:00 pm). If not claimed by their owner/finder or taken in by rescue they will be euthanized.
- COONHOUND, Male, 1-2 yrs old, tricolored
- PUPPY, Female, 3-4 months old, 8 pounds, tan coloring, could look like a poodle/Sheltie mix
- BOXER MIX, Male, 1-2 yrs old, black and white, resembles dog in Bruce Almighty movie.
We are not able to obtain pictures of these dogs at this time. Disposition and temperment on these dogs is fine, they all appear to be nice! Want to be a loving foster home? Fill out a foster app (application links are at top of page) and we will process asap. Thanks.

Black lab mix was either claimed or euthanized yesterday. We are unable to determine the status of this girl. We did learn she had probably had a litter of puppies within the last six months, so we are hopeful this dog, who was probably a wonderful mother to her puppies, was claimed and not euthanized. When looking for a new four legged best friend, please consider adoption. Those of you that are dog lovers that want to try being a foster home first (before a life time commitment of unconditional four legged love) can easily fill out a foster home application. Fosters provide the love and safety, we provide everything else.
Update on Spaniel! We have located another rescue so this Springer will hop on transport and head out for another chance at a forever home.

Napoleon and Cesar Need To Be Claimed Or Rescued By Wednesday, July 2nd!
July 5 Caeser update - Cesar is safe. We could not let this young, beautiful, sweet dog die. He will
most likely be going to another regional rescue for Rottweilers, we will post
his rescue status as soon as we confirm that the other rescue will take him.
Until then he is in our care and doing well. He loves to be with people and
enjoys going for walks and getting affection. He is neutered, up to date on
shots and is heartworm negative. If he stays with 4 Luv of Dog he will need a
foster home and his adoption fee will be $120.
July 01 update - Napoleon is heading to another rescue! Original posting: Napoleon
and Cesar are in a local pound and need either their owners or a rescue organization
to save them. (Note: The local pounds do NOT release animals to the general
public, please do not contact them). Napoleon is a small poodle with lots of love to give. We estimate his age to be about 3 years old. Cesar is a young
beautiful Rottweiler who is very friendly and estimated to be about 2 years old.
In order for our rescue to save Cesar or Napolean we must find them approved foster or adoptive homes by
Wednesday, July 2nd. Please
Contact Us ASAP if you can help these dogs.
4 Urgent Local Dogs! Update: 3 of the 4 dogs have been rescued. Our organization stepped up for one dog, a regional rescue organization offered to take the terrier mix and another local rescue organization saved one of the labs. WE ARE UNCERTAIN of the fate

Bonnie and Clyde, 2 Urgent Victims of Iowa Floods rescued and now safe!
Bonnie was adopted locally in Iowa. Clyde (now Bradley) found a home in our area.
Original post: Clyde had no hope for rescue so one of
our volunteers drove 6 hours round trip and picked him up on Sunday, June
22nd. We are always in need of gas donations for transports like these. The
volunteer also picked up a tiny puppy who had also run out of time. The 2
dogs traveled back to Fargo together and are now safe and sound. The puppy
already had an approved home waiting for him. But Clyde is still waiting for
his home. We have renamed him Bradley (after Brad Pitt). He is SOOOOO handsome
so we figured we had to rename him (he he). He is a stunning dog. Bradley
is good with other dogs and we are seeing about cats. He is a good listener
and seems to learn quickly. He looks very Boxer like in person. We think he
maybe a Boxer/American Staffordshire terrier mix.

His time is up at a local pound and sadly his owner is not coming for him. Frisco is a young dog, maybe 6 months old or so. He is on the small side and will be about 40lbs full grown. We know he is friendly with other dogs and LOVES human affection.
Baxter (Pit Bull cross) rescued! We are happy to say that we found an approved adopter for Baxter. He will start his trial to adopt period this week ;)
Mom and five puppies rescued. We are happy to report that Emily and 2 of her pups are in trial to adopt homes. The 3 remaining pups were driven to another rescue today by one of our volunteers. They now have their second chance at a happy life. Please remember every week there are dogs that end up in the Fargo Moorhead pounds and to save these dogs from death we need foster homes! You can help save a life by fostering a dog!

Handful of dogs rescued day they were to be euthanized! April 26 - The beagle is staying with us, the rescue lined up, took another one from Fargo pound for us. We also took out a rat terrier and a mini-dachschund. Our beagle, Freckles, is on the dog page, watch the dogs page for rat terrier and doxie in future.
April 23, 2008 - We are rescuing several(well it looks like more than several) dogs from Fargo pound this week. They would have been euthanized if it was not for our tiny rescue.
The beagle mix, lab mix and golden mix are heading via transport, to other rescues we work with. Check back in next day or two for updates on the other dogs coming in. We are a new and very small rescue, but we are the only group in the FM area that networks to find rescues and safety for the dogs we don't have room for. Dogs in our pounds are euthanized! We are doing all that we can. Taking a dog into rescue gives them time to find a family they can love (that will love them back). Dogs/cats going into the Fargo pound have 3 days, yes 3 days before they are euthanized. If we do not have fosters we must board (while we get the word out to individuals and other rescues for assistance). Boarding is $17.00 a day. Please consider helping us with boarding costs, or email us to look at an application to become a foster home. $17.00 a day can help a friendly, loving, healthy dog, find a home they deserve. Any assistance is always appreciated. Volunteers are needed too! A couple hours a week, a couple days a month, you can help. Send us an email, let us know if you want to work on your computer, want physical contact with our dogs, or if are a people person, there's a way you can help!
